Heather Hopkins writes stories where forests whisper, magic lingers in the quiet places, and healing often begins with a single brave choice. Her fantasy stories are full of hope, transformation, and characters who find strength in who they truly are.
She lives in Southern California with her dog Louis the Furst, a small creature with very big opinions. He is her loyal writing companion, foot-warmer, and occasional editor, especially when snacks are involved. Louis often finds his way into her stories in one form or another, usually as something small, fluffy, and full of mischief.
When Heather isn’t writing, she’s out walking trails near the ocean, sketching magical maps and creatures, or rewatching Lord of the Rings with a cup of tea. She believes in the power of stories to remind us who we are and help us imagine who we might become.
